We seek simple, effective solutions that support timely and competent work at height, whether it's the rescue or work enviroments . Our mission is to equip rescuers and rope access technicians with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make sound decisions when it matters most.

I’m Brandon Powers, founder of The Rope Practitioner, LLC. With more than 25 years of rope work experience spanning vertical caving, firefighting, cave rescue, rope access, and technical rescue instruction, I help develop rescuers and technicians who can think clearly, move efficiently, and perform under pressure.

This course is for rescuers who want to move beyond system dependence and become more effective on the rope themselves.

Built from over a decade of real rope access experience and nearly two decades of professional rescue work, this class represents the merger of those two worlds into one practical offering for the professional rescuer. The techniques taught here are real-world rope access techniques that I have intentionally pared down, refined, and translated for the rescuer. The result is a course designed not around industry, but around what actually helps rescuers move better, solve access problems, and support the mission in the field.

ITRA Rope Rescue Level 3 is designed for experienced rope rescue technicians ready to advance into complex rescue operations and technical leadership. The course emphasizes advanced system analysis, complex litter movement, operational planning, problem-solving, supervision, and decision-making in dynamic vertical environments. Students will build on existing technical skills while learning to plan, manage, and adapt rope rescue systems as conditions and operational needs change.

This course is intended for experienced technicians with a strong foundation in rope rescue and is not an entry-level program.
